Shalom family. The tough thing about having a blog is knowing how to curate your content. After I wrote my first blog I knew I would have to give myself time for careful consideration as to how I wanted to follow up. If you have not read my first post, The Call, I would encourage to go back and read that before continuing with this post as it is directly related to that one. This is the sequel!!!  Caught up? Ok, cool. So, as you know per the previous post, I had a very vivid and seemingly prophetic-esque dream (gotta be careful throwing that P-word around) the night/morning of Rosh Hashana/Yom Teruah. Repentance was my takeaway from that dream. Making sure I continue on the path that God has set before me and walk in the Spirit.  But I would be remiss to say that this was just a personal message. Shalom, family. This has been a blockbuster year as far as world events are concerned, and the fact that I don’t even need to expound on that is a testament to the times we’re living in. For me personally, it’s been a spiritually trying and revelatory time, particularly in the month of July. I had gone down a rabbit hole of prophetic passages in the Bible, watching videos interpreting these scriptures, and so forth. Starting on July 9th and for several days after, I was repeatedly waking up in the middle of the night after strange dreams or simply being awakened by the Holy Spirit. I started writing in my prayer journal during those nights. On July 13th, I took my son to his cross-country camp at a local park in the area, as they were preparing for what would be a stellar season for him. That morning, I sat on a bench in the park with my Bible as the boys ran their 2 miles. I began reading the book of Daniel, and a passage that stood out to me was verses 19 through 23 of Chapter 2. For the past week I've been considering starting a blog to share bible inspired entries in an attempt to promote God's word and the gospel. The challenge was knowing where and how to start. Should I take the academic approach? Do a personal testimony? Dig into eschatology or prophecy? That's the thing about the bible. It's a multifaceted, multi-genre composition masterpiece with just as many ways to discuss as there are ways to understand. There are truly layers.  I've written other posts but because I am still a fledging when it comes to knowing The Word I did not feel qualified to present my thoughts as any kind of authority on biblical matters (as well as just having paralysis from analysis). I am learning, I am a student. And I am okay with that. Sometimes I need to remind myself that even Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus Christ) did not start his ministry until after years of learning and travel. So what changed?
