The Ancient Egyptians & Israelites

Ethnic Makeup of the Ancient Egyptians, Israelites, and Hyksos Ethnic Makeup of the Ancient Egyptians, Israelites, and Hyksos A comparative look at the peoples of the Nile and the Levant in the New Kingdom period (18th–19th Dynasties). Ethnic Makeup of the Ancient Egyptians The Egyptians of the New Kingdom (ca. 1550–1189 BC) were primarily a Northeast African population rooted in the Nile Valley. Their features reflected a mixture of indigenous Saharan, Nubian, and Nile Delta ancestry. Genetic studies of royal mummies and skeletal remains reveal a population connected to both Sub-Saharan Africa and the ancient Near East, consistent with Egypt’s geographic position as a crossroads of Africa and Asia. Royal families often intermarried with foreign princesses to cement alliances. For example, Amenhotep III married women from Mitanni and later Ramesses II married Hittite royalty. This resulted in foreign admixture at the highest levels of society, though the g...

For The Record

Shalom family. The tough thing about having a blog is knowing how to curate your content. After I wrote my first blog I knew I would have to give myself time for careful consideration as to how I wanted to follow up. If you have not read my first post, The Call, I would encourage to go back and read that before continuing with this post as it is directly related to that one. This is the sequel!!!

Caught up? Ok, cool. So, as you know per the previous post, I had a very vivid and seemingly prophetic-esque dream (gotta be careful throwing that P-word around) the night/morning of Rosh Hashana/Yom Teruah. Repentance was my takeaway from that dream. Making sure I continue on the path that God has set before me and walk in the Spirit.

But I would be remiss to say that this was just a personal message. I heard someone on a radio broadcast say that God deals with people groups. Salvation isn't just some personal journey you go on as an individual while watching everyone else walk off the cliff into the abyss. He cares about our *collective* salvation.

Over the weekend of October 26th, I came across an article written by Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz entitled For the First Time Since the Second Temple: Shofar Sounded on Temple Mount; Silver Trumpet Sounded as Call to War. Berkowitz wrote "On Thursday, the first day of Rosh Hashanah, a group of Jews smuggled shofarot (ritual rams’ horns) onto the Temple Mount and, despite police efforts to stop them, blew all of the requisite shofar blasts for the holiday. It should be emphasized that this is most probably the first time since the Second Temple stood that the shofar has sounded at Judaism’s holiest site."

Why is that significant you may wonder? Traditionally, sacred assemblies by the Israelites were held at the Temple, but there has been no Temple since its destruction in 70CE during the Jewish-Roman war. 1,954 years is how long there has been no place sacred assembly in Israel for the Israelites. No place to blow the shofar as instructed to Moses and his people in Numbers 29.

You see, in Exodus Moses was tasked with great responsibility. Him and his brother Aaron were accountable for the Israelites as a whole. This was their community. Their family. Making sure that they submitted to God's commands was no easy thing at all which is wild to think of for any modern reader considering how directly God dealt with them.

Any man or woman chosen by God to do His will bears the responsibility of advocating God's way to whomever God's intended audience is at that time. My first post was published October 4th. Eliyahu's article was published October 6th. I wrote this draft October 28th and let it sit wayside because the Holy Spirit told me it was not the time. As of November 25th, I've come across a confirmation I could not ignore and feel the duty to share with my fellow believers and non-believers alike. While watching a video on YouTube entitled Messiah 2030 - FAQ - Part 1, it is explained (6 minutes and 20 seconds into the video) that 52 different patterns and prophecies point to the return of Jesus Christ on nonother than Yom Teruah in 2030.

I don't share this in an attempt to set a date for the return our Savior. I don't know if the scholars that made this documentary are accurate. However, I cannot ignore patterns or the visions I've received. I share this with you, readers, to let you know that God is at work and if you seek Him in earnestness He will respond. I pray for anyone reading this to accept Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and savior and to repent and walk with God. I pray that the Word penetrate your heart, and you bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life and dealings with your neighbors. I pray for God to deliver you from strongholds and deception. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Fake News (It's Deeper Than Donald Trump)

Shalom, family. If there is one undeniable thing to credit to the current President of the United States it's his ability to make a headline, be it "good" or "bad". America is hypnotically polarized between idol gazing or hate watching his every move. He is never short of a quotable one-liner or catchphrase that becomes meme-worthy material.  One particular Trump-ism that seemed to stick in this cultural & political climate is "fake news." And while many of us use it ironically, I can't help but acknowledge the timing of this catchphrase as spiritually significant. A hallmark of the current age. What do I mean by that? Well, for you saints who are into eschatology (end-times prophecy) you are probably already aware of the discussions that are being held in practically every religious space at the moment about the last days. I would say with the quickening and escalation of world events and catastrophes that even the secular spaces have tapped i...

The End is Near Part 1: End Of The Age

Where Are We on the Biblical Timeline? Where Are We on the Biblical Timeline? Understanding time, prophecy, and God’s big picture plan in light of Scripture and history. The Big Framework 2 Peter 3:8 says that “with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” Many Bible students take this to mean that human history unfolds in a pattern of seven thousand-year “days” that parallel the seven days of creation. Six days of human labor and history, followed by a seventh “Sabbath day” of rest — the millennial reign of Christ. Where Are We Now? According to the Hebrew calendar, the year is currently 5785 (as of 2025). If the calendar is accurate, humanity is approaching the close of the sixth “day.” That would place us near the threshold of the seventh millennium, often associated with the reign of Christ on Earth. The Margin of Error Here’s where it gets interesting. Scholars and historians...

American Christian Privilege and the Tribulation of the Saints

Shalom, family. I want to take some time now to reflect on some harsh realities. Realities that should force us to think more deeply about our faith and pray more fervently. As much as I'm sure you probably aren't all too enthused about another article of bad news, let me tell you that very attitude within itself is a privilege to have.  Lately, I've been watching video coverage of heart wrenching persecution in countries like Syria and Congo. If you haven't been informed, there has been a massive uptick in Christian persecution in these places.  When I say persecution, I don't mean how many American pastors and citizens use the term. This is not about refusing to officiate gay weddings or not baking cakes for lesbians. I'm talking about what the Bible calls tribulation. Jesus states in Matthew 24:9 "They will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake." This is something that is bar...
